HVISKATELIERis a place to be creative - and to get inspired. We at HVISK meet a lot of artists on social media and in ourATELIERwe ask them to interpret our collections and express them through their art. Their interpretations inspire us to look at our collections and what we do in a different way - and hopefully they inspire you too. For our nextATELIERcollaboration we teamed up with the Spanish and Barcelona based girl, Miriam Serrano. We had a chat with her about her work and the photo series she did for us.HVISK: WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING?
MIRIAM: I’m a photographer based in Barcelona. My background is very artistic, nurtured with art, cinema and observation of the world we live in. I work with different brands based in Barcelona, creating campaigns, lookbooks and the realization of e-commerce for big brands. I’m also starting a film production with my partner Tiago Almança and making photobooks with documentary photography. My vision is to create and develop creativity through all the artistic techniques that attract me.
HVISK: WHAT IS YOUR STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY?
MIRIAM: It involves a creative and sensitive environment, with a personal touch. I like to integrate elements such as light to create volume, play with mirrors and other elements. To create while photographing, because interesting things can happen when you don't plan them, and that's where I find my essence. The freedom to see what happens when you start to play with the shadows, light and other elements come together.
HVISK: WHAT DOES HVISK MEAN TO YOU?
MIRIAM: HVISK has a beautiful personal touch, of great quality and design. I am fascinated by the aesthetic and how good it looks when you create a look. The range of colors of the Museum Collection gives a pop to any combination you want to wear, these bags will always give the final touch that will unite all the styling.
HVISK: WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION FOR THE IMAGES?
MIRIAM: I wanted to give the bags prominence by creating a still life, but giving it a more colorful and artistic touch. I decided to create the volume of the bags through light, and see them from two points of view at the same time, horizontally and from above. With the help of translucent objects, using direct sunlight to create a still life of light and objects.
